If the last 6 months are any indicator of what this next year is gonna be I am very excited. Especially the pool industry. Here in Chicago and all through out the tri states areas we have seen unprecedented growth in the pool market place...
Hello I'm new here and was looking for a bit of help. I want to order my product for my first project. A Cellar rock wall, and I was wondering if you guys could help me with the top 6 colours of water based stains from Walt tools? I know this can vary from individual but I just need to get a quick start and order. Thanks for your help.

First time doing a foam core water feature for salt water pool. Would 2lb poly urthane liquid expanding foam be sufficent? Is spider lathe required in the scratch coat? What type of colouring and sealer could be used ?

Any help would be appreciated .

What is the best way to protect a concrete patio when building projects on them? I am thinking plastic sheeting and then cutting around the finished pieces and leaving the plastic under them. Is that ok or is there a better way? I have to build the pieces on site.

thanks

thanks
I used a 1:6 cement ratio for my scratch coat is that going to be too weak?tag:verticalartisans.ning.com,2018-05-26:2294914:Topic:1967122018-05-26T10:13:34.443ZDustin Dowdhttp://verticalartisans.ning.com/profile/DustinDowd

I've built a large mushrooming 1/2 inch steel structure crossing my steel in 8 by 10in squares though the cement that we used was 1:6 ratio portland lime and concrete sand. We went 3 inches thick and now I'm going to add the carve coat as a 1:3 ratio.

What's the worst that could happen with using a 1:6 for the scratch coat in this situation folks?

Hi All,

Im going to begin work on a fireplace surround. the look/feel will be a troweled plaster look, think mediterranean. The substrate is cement board. There will be a maximum buildup of a couple of inches.

My question is: for such a minimal buildup do I need to go through the steps of securing lath and scratch coat? or could I get away with a scratch coat only?

Thanks!

These are a series of concrete planters I´ve been making as a show sample. The planter is about 65 x 65 cms. Pretty sturdy and heavy ... what would be a fair price to ask for one of these ? I have made a mold, so I suppose I cannot factor in much of he cost of it, but expect it should pay off as many of these are sold, hopefully.... thanks in advance for your input.

Based on others experience, I´d like to use along with acid stains, some concrete dyes for indoors aps. Would you share which brand you have used successfully ? Thanks for input
