Warren thank you for the comment. The island top is our own mix made with limestone. We stained the top with different water based stains and sealed. We have been doing this method for a while. Please visit us at picassacrete.com. Thank you again.

Great work, Warren. Your phone should be ringing off the hook. I hope I can be turning some of that out soon. Keep it up.

Just looking at your photos again. I just can't find a single thing I don't like about it (not that I was trying). What materials do you like to use. Any info would be appreciated. I would like to build a very similar display this spring.

Great pics Warren, if that job doesn't have your phone ringing off the hook, somethings wrong!

Hey Warren, how's that water feature coming along? You should put a heater in it, it's about that time of year to start thinking hot tub!

Hey Warren, yes I used Walt's wood grains on that beam, along with some deep carving with pointers after some brushing.  I'll get some updated pics posted tomorrow after work.

Hi Warren-looks like you sure been having some real good fun with concrete! Nice work, lots of great effects and finishes....and now that you've been carving rock, I hope you realize that, from now on, this is all you'll ever want to do and all you will ever be able to do ever again!!! ;-} Enjoy

Thanks for the kind words Ken! Your work is stellar, which I seen quite a bit of at the Bronx Zoo. Keep rocking!

warren i use some bonding agent and normal mortar/stuccou scratch coat over the durarock i dont feel thin set is the right base for a vertical concrete overlay neither in streagnth or substrate.
