Rebuilding Haiti Vertical Concrete Mortar Sprayer

Hi Im Jody Smith Owner/ Artisan of http://www.overlaysolutions.com I wanted to share this video with all of my fellow artisans and friends. I was asked to put this video together by Nolan Scheid a friend of mine and owner of http://www.mortarsprayer.com I really enjoyed putting together this video and felt that it was the least I could do. I personally want to thank everyone involved in the rebuilding of Haiti. When I received all the footage and pictures it really hit home that so many people are in need of help in Haiti and all over the World. Stucco Sprayers Rebuilding Haiti, Building a Stucco Wall With Structural Concrete Insulated Panels

On March 31st April 4th, Steve Shirley and a bus load of volunteers with 19 Bible School students, Pastors and members traveled to Haiti to rebuild the first phase of the walls that had fallen in the Quake. Over 600 linear ft of them fell during the earthquake in January and there is no security at the compound. They took 100 4′ x 8′ foam panels with welded wire mesh on each side and 1000 bags of 94 lb special cement/sand mix already prepared from the local cement company here in Santo Domingo for the first phase.

First they cleaned off the old footing and dug 2 foot deep holes every 12′ to place columns. Each
column was made of 2 pieces of 2.5″ by 2.5″ angle iron welded together in a z form. In 4 days
they were able to put up 228′ feet and plaster both sides of the walls. The next phase is approximately 400′. If you would like to help, contact Steve at UPCDR@hotmail.com

Simulated Flagstone Overlay

Hello everyone I know that this is a Vertical Site but I wanted to add this. This horizontal project has turned into a landscape design, Vertical Fountain on the back terrace 8’x 6’ and maybe another 1500 sq ft of overlay around the pool. I have to also carve a design model for a waterfall going into her pool and a full coping. I had a great time on this project and it seems that I will have a lot more video’s on the upcoming projects. Thanks to all of you artisans for the inspirations and limitless ideas, I’m very proud to be here!
