This Mail box was carved using Kirtbag Carving mix and I loved every minute of it haha so good to work with.. Its gonna be hard to go back to my home made mix after using it.

My substrate was a foam block.

Hi Matt, yeah that`s a COOL work. I know you probably used various tools for texturing, but the predominant texture is great! May I ask what utensil u employed for that? Wire brush ???

Comment by Hobby Carver on April 22, 2014 at 7:44pm
Thanks Nelson most of the texture is from rollers and brushes. I used a dingle berry roller over the whole thing just to hide any trowel marks then another roller I got from Walt tools. The rest is carving and brushes.

Awesome work,but what's a dingle berry roller?

Comment by Hobby Carver on April 23, 2014 at 3:03pm
Haha yeah sorry should have explained that one.
It's a roller Nathan shows how to make on the training site pretty much just a cement covered roller
