Thanks guys, and yes Kenny, this is our first time. That's what training videos and this site will do for you.  Everything I know about vertical started at this site. Watch the vids and get into some mud up to your elbows, you've got what it takes!

Hi All. I joined this forum because I am a newbie to this entire overlays world. ... I'm looking forward to gleaning all kinds of information from you guys!

David... I’ve been observing your work and dreaming of that day (after 2 1/2 years) when I am competent enough to do a similar work

Guys... I need your feedback… I live outside the states... Do you think it’s still feasible to pursue this skill without access to a sustainable source of specialized concrete admixtures like kel-crete. I really feel confused.. Please help

This is just my personnel opinion but the subscription is worth it if you are looking to do this kind of work.   Instead of gleaning bits of information form this forum, jump in with both feet and learn this craft fully and comprehensibly.   No one on this forum will give away free what they have paid money to acquire.

Its kind of like a guild is a way.  The main purpose of the forum is to share innovations and encourage each other.   You will not be disappointed with the course and as far as materials, all students have access to me and I have helped many over the years with their own mixes both domestic and abroad.  As for tools, the first three videos of the course teach you how to create your if needs be.

Yes, I could not have began to do this without the subscription. I burned those videos into my mind so that they would come back to me as I worked. A picture is worth a thousand words, and I'm not sure how many frames per second you filmed at, but it works out to lots and lots of words!

For many years, I have made my own texture tools for other things, and have quite an arsenal, but not specifically aimed at vertical. I made some of the ones shown on the subscription videos, but decided to pop for Walt Tool's "Big Kit" so that I would have a huge assortment in front of me when I began.

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THE SUBSCRIPTION IS THE BEST TRAINING VALUE ANYWHERE (TRULY PRICELESS), AND IF THE WORK DONE BY NATHAN IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT, THE ONLY PLACE TO GET THE FINE DETAILS OF THIS CRAFT ARE RIGHT ON THERE! I WOULD NEVER HAVE TRIED THIS JOB RIGHT AWAY WITHOUT THE CONFIDENCE I GAINED ON WWW.VERTICALARTISANS.COM !!!
