Bonding Agent/Adhesive Question When Applying Scratch Coat

I have a poured concrete retaining wall that I want to put a scratch coat on. I’m going to use Sakrete Type S mortar for the scratch. What would be a good bonding agent to first put on the wall before applying scratch coat? After the scratch coat I’m going to apply Kirtbag. Any advice is appreciated.

I use structure coat for the scratch coat mostly now... but before you put the bonding agent on make sure you power wash... sometimes bonding agents are bond breakers.
