We have been trained in Flex-C-ment and Elite crete and have been using them in our vertical carving. Do we need to get trained in Vertifaux prior to working with it?

No but you will need the Vertical Artisans Subscription to work with the other subscribers. The Flex and Elite training is completely different than what is offered in the VA subscription.

Ok Guys we area few weeks away from the start of an exciting project.
There are a few things Im sure you may want to know so I will fill in where I can.
Hotel Accommodations:

The project is in Naperville IL.... Here is a Mapquest OverView

A close cross section is 127th and Rt. 59
Most hotels are under 70 a night.

We have begun the demo of the area...I will post pictures as I get them. I will try to give you dates and times of when I will be there so you can see the most for the time you are here. Local Subscribers can drive up any time they wish.

First Off is the build out. You will not be there for that. Another group is doing that. What we want is sculpting only and staining and painting. You know the "fun" stuff.

There is a really big buzz as to what we are doing so it should be exciting.

Ok Everybody ..... I was out there yesterday and saw the progress.... all the framing is almost done. Next week I should be out there Tuesday or Wednesday to start putting up lath. I'm hoping by the end of next week that I will have the scratch coat up. And the following week carving....I will have some pictures of the changes and the progress by mid week.

The hands on project for subscribers is almost ready to begin. 99% of the framing is completed. Today I will take pictures and post some new data in the Groups area. Many of you have asked about time frame.
This week (27th through 30th) is wrapping up loose ends and beginning to scratch coat. Next week finish the scratch coat and start carving. I hope to be finished carving and on to the staining in the next 2.5 weeks.
This will be a lot of fun as we have many intricate elements in this wine cellar.

Update:
Friday April 30th the electrician should be completed
Saturday the carpenters should finish
Monday Finish Lathing and Begin Scratch Coat
Tuesday through Friday Carving & Scratch Coat.

By the end of next week we should be really close to being finished...
There are some loose ends that will hold us up in a few areas but the bulk of the project should be finished and ready for painting the following week.
