    is that chest made from concrete, or reclaimed wood?  or even concrete made to look like reclaimed wood?  whichever, very nice work!  where did you get the iron work?  looking for some nice forgings for the carriage doors on the barn i'm building.  can you give me any pointers?

    THANKS PAUL!! this one is made from reclaimed southern heart pine from the earnhardt building in downtown fortmyers fl built in 1918. as for the metal on this chest i made it all my self spec for this chest. however i have a site i go to for speacialty iron work that has an amazing array of stuff and is great quality! try www.kingmetals.com. hope that helps!

    thanks paul! i try to keep my stuff as original as possible and have learnd the baisics for many trades and gone a bit further with others that are used more often but they all come in handy!! if you would like me to try and make you sumthing up send me a drawing or pic of an idea and i will see what i can do!!

    i may take you up on that?  how far is shipping to cleveland.  btw, the barn i'm doing, look at the carriage doors.  i used some hinges from king and had a local fab shop modify them for me.  each leaf of the door is 1200 pounds, and they open with one hand.

    I will have to keep your talents on file as I find that this piece and the doors you have done are very impressive. When the time comes to remodel my home these items are of interest. I would also like to promote these pieces to clients/designers as well.... they are very impressive!
