this is my second attempt at vertical carving, these colums will hold up a counter top for two upcoming home shows I will post pic when complete. any help from the pro's whould be great. thanks John Biles

Great color, nice mix of large and small block. If any critique, then watch the flow of long lines. In the nearer column, your vertical breakup on the right side is preferred over the left side where it is too continuous. Easy to see after the fact, harder when working. Looking forward to seeing finished assembly.

I agree with Don, those stone on the right pillar look like they would slide right off! Gotta obey the laws of physics or it looks fake... unless of course thats what the client wants...!
