Steps leading to my front porch. I formed the boulders last year before I started learning from this forum. The stones are precast with foam cores to make them “light” 150lb compared to the original stone that weighted 350lb. This allowed me to work alone without equipment. I just recently poured the spaces between the steps and stamped them with a slate texture. I still need to stain and add a retaining wall.

every thing looks great ken! maybe you can use the one day walls method for your retaining walls.

Thanks Scott. I actually did a type of one day wall last year behind my house.  I mixed almost 1 yd of material in my mortar mixer by myself.  I suppose if I called in a ready mix truck it would have been much easier, but as for doing it alone, that is just too much work.
