Need to get better a design. I keep noticing large, straight lines across multiple stones :)

Starting to look better. I would say grab a piece of paper and draw out the design first. You'll catch all of your straight lines and any possible 4 ways. Keep watching the videos and you'll be surprised how much better you get every time. Good job!

Thanks Christian, you're too kind:) I didn't do much texturing on this one. I need a powder release agent.
Overall, this mix was soo much better and easier to work with. It made me fully understand how dry my first was...I'd estimate a quart of water short of where I needed it. This was fluffy, sticky, easy to smooth, with a touch of soupy. Took me 1/3 the time to put up compared to the last batch, same 40 pound amount.

you can use a liquid release also. that's what I usually use. watch when its soupy, it's more likely to sag. With time you'll know the right consistency. I found that there is a point where its buttery or putty like and that's when I've had the easiest time working with it.
