I was going to just leave it flat sheet copper but no matter what I can never get tin snips to cut smooth especially on copper beings soft. I took a aggressive butterfield stamp roller and tested trying to put a slight hammering on a test copper scrap and  liked it a little because I had never seen slightly hammered before.

So I proceed to hammer my cut piece and do the wrong side, oops....but a good oops since after hammering the other side it really made for cool effect after I glued it down getting creative with my PL3X Glue smearing it looks like shiney copper stone from Mars after using a propane torch to color it. I really wish I had done the bottle holders in this style because I have lights installed in the top and this looks amazing when light hits it. It wouldn't work without a Pergola on sunny days because copper reflection is seriously hot even with Everbrite coating on it

Mark, the irisdicent effect on copper looks cool indeed. The downside is that those nice colors fade away rather soon.... did you know that. Probably should share that with client in advance so you don´t get yourself in a bind. Don´t mean to be a party pooper, just some tech facts. Best luck

Nelson, I used Everbrite which seems to lock down the colors fairly well at least on other things I've done. It automatically takes away the darkest blues but leaves the light blues and purples. theres a giant pergola covering this and the client is me ;)

Thanks for sharing the details of how you did the bar , i will certainly have a go with the copper i have saved since seeing this. your concrete work is exccellent this bar is something else
