We recently installed some flag stone in a path configuration in lieu of actual flag stone  for a local landscape company.  The beauty is that they can get the size, shape and colors they want from us.  However, the owner asked me a question that i was not able to answer well.  It went basically like this:

"4 years from now real flagstone will still look good (have the same appearance).  What will these concrete ones look like four years down the road?  Will they, like the borders you put in, need to be re-sealed every few years?"

Since we used some releases mixed with mineral spirits to create some of the surface color and then we used a solvent based acrylic sealer over the top, I'm assuming that they will likely wear off and dull out over time.  Any suggestions on getting a cost friendly color with longevity?
