I've recently started using pva fibres in the mix and was curious if anyone else has been using them. The're apparently far superior than fibreglass, and mechanically bond with cement creating a stronger and more flexible product.

Where do you find PVA fibers and at what ratio do you add them to your concrete mixture?
www.Specco.com sells them.

I like them in underlayment, base coat, scratch coat mixes over wood. Most cracking issues I have dealt with are over wood substraights. I have never been to fond of them used in carving coats. But if they are to be used they are better than fiberglass. There more supple and easy to carve through. They burn off easy as well.
Nycon.com sells pva and any other fibre you want online,, as far as ratio it depends on the appliicaton, i'm a stucco/plasterer, so for stucco scratch & base, overlays and vertical work i usually toss in a hand full ( per 5 gallon pail).
