Highly detailed, is it completely carved or is there stamps involved?

I carved the basic shapes (a mini-me pool trowel and small tuck-point trowel), but did use Walttool's wood plank stamps to get a basic grain impression. Then I exaggerated the lines with a tuck point trowel and a chunk of an old coarse broom.

Very, very nice Lee. How many different colors did you use, did you mix some of the stains to get intermediate tones? Please let us know which stains by name you used. Love it. Thanks

I used three colors of stain. (Weathered Terra cotta, coffee and ebony.) Some of the best effects resulted from using a non-sanded grout mix to rub the surface, a basic mocha color mix, I used it to fill some cracks that formed when curing. The acid stains reacted with both to good effect.
