Albums: Acrylic cement overlays

Paul: The bullnose was created by ripping wooden handrail material in half, the gluing it in place with liquid-nails adhesive and a bunch of of hefty screws. Then coating it with the rest.
Eric: I use the Acrylic Modified Cement products from Concrete Coatings, Inc. (http://concretecoatingsinc.com/), sealed with their UV Shield Epoxy product.
CCI's site has information on products, and what you may have to do to purchase them.
The applications in these pictures are applied in layers, after the substrate is installed and moisture treated, a colored base 'skim' coat is applied, after the skim is dried and smoothed, the pattern is layed out using a high strength pattern tape, then another layer of material is applied, when that has set-up the tape is "pulled" revealing the tile/grout pattern (with realistic change in material depth). Epoxy is applied over everything to create a non-pourous finish which works excellent for shower/baths!
