Hi Chris,

looking at your table, aftter a while I realized you accomplished something very interesting and effective. Though the tree giving rise to your table is "contra natura", meaning that it's very unlikely to find in nature a tree with a broad trunk, which gave rise to the top of your table, and that such big tree would neck down to a rather small root system, in this case the legs of your table. Tricky trick ! Never mind that botany trait  Chris because your table is GREAT ! That's what's wonderful about art: everything is possible, and you have accomplished that very well. Congratulations

Thank you for the compliment Nelson.. I have been wanting to do a carve like this for a while. never tried to do a wood or tree carve before. The girlfriend wanted a table to go behind the couch so i figured i would come up with something to put back there. I know that the tree is "contra natura" and so is the dragonfly. But, like you said, thats whats wonderful about art. Although i could really get into this tree and wood carving. This project has been a blast. I want to try some of that PolyGem and really try and make a realistic tree. Cant wait for that to start up
