Matt exquisit work man ! Did you use some compound instead of cement ? The texture is very wood -like

Nothing to different. Just a plain GFRC mix but I really think the mix of stamp and hand carving make the difference. I've really been doing a lot of wood replications this past year so having the experience help with the staining too. I could tell you the exact colors I used but the way they get applied and the correct order really make a difference. Then to antique or "weather" the wood is a must. Hope this helps. I'm always open to answer questions.

Hey Matt, those concentric growth rings on first and third slab, did you use a compass and scratched them around, or did you use a rubber stamp ?

I embarrassed to say that it's a rubber stamp of a telephone pole I molded. It was free and had great texture. I wish I could post a picture of the stamp in this comment.

In this business, whatever you do as shortcut to make matters more simple is a plus in my view. What really counts is your outcome, whatever you do is your business... you gotta be proud!!! And thanks for sharing tips.

I used polytek rubber to mold the pole. I think I have a few pictures somewhere of the process I used.
