Hi Matt, I'd like to ask you about the molding rubber for concrete casting, imprinting and that sort of thing.  I've been reading and contacting distributors, but your input is valuable. There are many types, dpending on intended use. For concrete pavers like the ones shown here:

http://www.studiogblog.com/materials/wood-grain-concrete-pavers/ which hardness, which particular POLYURATHANE RUBBER type from Polytek would you recomend? In my case, I wish to have a product that combines the best durability and best accuracy of print .... wow, the best of two worlds....

Nelson,
I've been molding longer than I have been casting concrete and you asked exactly the same question I did about concrete. I wanted something that would take the impression of the mold and would stand the test of time. I quickly realized they are two completely different worlds of work.
I'll start by letting you know that all rubber molds take detail beyond belief. My fingerprint actually shows on some of my molds. Next, durability is really dependent on the type of object you are molding. Many of my rock molds have lasted over 50 casts. Some of my other deep texture wood molds only last 8-10 casts.

With all that being said, I'll let you know what you should really be asking.
-What type of mold (i.e. Blanket mold, box mold, sock mold etc.). Each requires a different type of rubber. This has more of an effect on the type of viscosity you can use.
-what are you molding (i.e. sandstone, granite, wood plank, bark etc.). Again, each requires different application and different rubber.

There are so many factors but two main factors I've used when choosing type of rubber to use is viscosity and hardness.
