16"x8" relief sculpt of a Pterodactyl to be used to cast concrete tiles. Requested by Real Estate developer to be set in corner stones.

Thanks David. For items this small I use either polymer clay (sculpey) or an oil clay (plastalina). In this case I used polymer clay. I rolled out a thin <1/4 inch or 5 mm layer, textured the surface then baked it hard before adding the mountainous terrain and pterodactyl. I mounted the sculpted work onto a melamine surface with a raised frame. Built a melamine box around everything and poured polyurethane rubber from Smooth On over the sculpted tile to create a reusable flexible mold. Ultimately I cast several fiberglass reinforced copies using Rapidset Grout.
