Mike do you have any pics of what the frame looked like, im thinking a lot of mud huh? In the colder temps will you tent and heat to paint. I havent checked the temp restritions on a basic exterior paint. The smith paint may have different temps. I cant believe how great this looks.

I threw this by hand and averaged 3" before troweling so when I bring corners up they may be 4" or so thick. I dont have any pics of the cage work but most of the angles were in it. This was in MO and we got lucky with a couple record warm days otherwise it wouldve been tented and heated. You can get 35 degree paint and above but for these types of applications you need the layers of paint to dry as you proceed so a tent and heat is kind of a must. This will get painted in the spring.

Hey Mike Ive a question about doing your carve coat. Im doing a wall at the moment ive finished all the scratch coat and will be just mixing and applying my carve coat myself but im gonna have to do it in sections as its to big an area to do in 1 hit by myself. How do you determin where those sections are and how do you go about hiding that and stop it from cracking away in that spot? Thanks mate any advice would be great cause im unsure how to overcome this prob!

I make my seams any place I feel like as long as its on a flat area as opposed to a corner.  The previous coat will still be "green" so I take a sprayer with some boner and water and wet the old stuff then float the new over it and scrub and brush it in well. Then just texture your brushmarks and you'll never see it.
