Mike just finished watching ur granite style carving on the artisans channel! Wow first of all ur work is so impressive and thank you to urself and Nathan for giving such an informative video that's put into laymans terms that's easy for me as a beginner to understand. Can't wait to use the things I've learnt on my wall at home. I see you mentioned that u like to use a fine sand for ur carve mix and as I can't get my hands on a pre bagged mix little notes like that go along way. I also got my hands on some clay so hopefully my mix will be nice and sticky and do what I need it to do. Thanks again I would highly recommend this video to anyone who wants to do rockworks! I'll post some pics when I get goin cheers bud!

Hey mike, I know you haven't colored this project yet, but when you do, what's your normal rate of dilution water to color on your acrylics. Thanks

Just thin enough to be run good through a hudson sprayer. I dont measure anything anymore just cause I can smear the dilluted paint between my fingers and tell if its right. The thicker the paint the better however you want to have pretty good spray patterns through your pump sprayer. My first basecoat is applied much thicker with an airless sprayer and I use a paint that has a primer built in.
