That's WILD!  Is it cement or epoxy.  I am wondering because of the broken wood ends...when I do 'em in cement they usually bust off.     Steve Milroy

Do you mean certain portions are polygem and others are cement?  Or do you mean a mixture of both are used together in the same segment?

the entire wood piece that the photo portrays is cement, the branches above are polygem

how do you paint the inside of the cracks in the wood?
are those only stains?

no the busted ends are solid,its all in the paint.  i use only acrylics.  you cant pallet stains

Hate being a pest, Tim, but your stuff is just so good..so it's YOUR fault I'm bugging you.  Could you explain what you mean by "you can't pallet stains."?    And are your acrylics airbrushed in or super watered down to blend nicely ?  Do you use a micro one-haired brush to pull in the fine cracks?

Thanks Steve. When I paint, I put globs of modern masters acrylic theme paint On a tray, This allows me to be able to mix colors and build on top of my work. Highlights, shading etc. With stains you can't do that, stains are too watery. No airbrush, this piece is around 4000sqft. And Kenny nailed the crack painting
