Beautiful 3D lettering.  Are the letters purely handcarved in the final application of mortar mix, or do you "set in" cutouts of styrofoam which you remove later?

You've got a good eye and a steady hand.  Do you rough them in while the mix is wet, then "clean-'em-up" after it is semi hardened?

Yeah mate just outline it when it first goes on then carve em out as it firms up a bit. It's pretty fiddly I've had bits fall out that I didn't want to but I guess it adds to the look not perfect uno? Haha it's time consuming though
