Hi mike, this is older, and im modeling rock for a D&D game, look slike its, ...Hotglued cardboard... them Mud for crack filler for medium  basematerial ? and finished with Apoxie?  is that close? the surfaces are incredible and are created using your vast geological knowledge, how do you get the cracks (in this small scale)  Xacto knife? or the like? ......

Actually Chris this model was done in Epoxy and painted.

D&D bro that fun... I would use Foam and glue... or sculpting clay... non-drying.
