Thanks Paul. I've never done any concrete work where I knew 100% what it was going to look like when I got through. This time though I was very careful and did several different variations of straw and acid stains as samples. Everyone was delighted with the results because it looked like the sample they picked.

I actually cast the pieces at my house and did the acid stain after they were installed on the cabinets. This sealer runs almost $5.00 a s.f. for just materials and it's not the easiest thing to use.

Ryan,

Lots of polishing from 100 t0 800 grit. When you do the dry press method and there is pasting to be done there is no getting away from polishing;
