Colors are wild, but they're painting everything gray... so some wild was requested.

Thanks Dave. We used Beer Stain (http://www.gginnovativeproducts.com/) (basalt, sonara and rust) half mixed with cheap red wine, the other half mixed with beer for the base colors. Then used Butterfield Element colors to detail (favorites: Kona brown, Cordovian leather, Stygian, Brown and Black).

 

The Beer Stain was fun, because we got to use beer and wine and call it work, but I'm not sure that the colors they produced were worth the cost of the product. I'm thinking we could have got the same thing from a few sample bottles (4oz) of Butterfield... so the jury is still out on that one.

Nice work, Lee. Hope it gets you as much work as you canhandle. My experience with Do It Best makes me think they should have named it Elifino, or Idunno, instead of Orofino (couldn't help but notice).
