Cracks are always a possibility. I'd say 75% or more are a result of workmanship, but I will also say that I have serious questions regarding quality control of their mix and most everything else in their system. I am in the process of switching to a much superior method and product, and am very excited about it. It is not an overlay, however, and is a different system to learn. It will be possible to re-create any Shirestone look, but even more realistically "Old World" and much stronger, with better feel and durability. Did I mention more affordable too?

Dave, did you do that tub back in July? I missed seeing it. Beautiful surface colors and texture. Not too grainy for a wet area. Did you set the tub too.???
Soooo, who are you going with for a better mix?

Hey Ed, that tub deck is a few years old by now, and the builder set the tub. I am most impressed with the mixes of Picassacrete. Check out Bobby Leatherwood's work right here, or his website, picassacrete.com. Great work on the stairway waterfeature, by the way.
