The project 4 data has been released and here is an over view.
The videos give you an inside look at the steps we took to create this feature.

The hand carving & sculpting of this feature was performed by Mike Vernelson.
The methods and styles he uses can be purchased on the Artisans Channel.
Vertical Artisans promotes these teachings as additional hand carved training. There are many rock carvers in the world and Mike continues to raise the standard. These methods are unique to Mike Vernelson and his interpretations of hand carving from years of practice and experience.
Project 4 Data
Preparation Video #1
Covers before shots of the feature, plumbing overview, and general prep.
Armature Video #2
Covers type of construction, 3/8" re-bar and general over view of armature.
Hard Coat & Water Proofing Video #3
Covers the hard coat process and pointers on application. Mix design and add mixtures. Water proofing and special water bleed features from the weir points.
Admixtures from Specco.com
The Hard coat was a modified bag mix from Quick Crete --- Sand Topping Mix
W-33 powder was used as an admixture in this mix to add a water proofing element in the hard coat. ( 1 lbs. ) per bag
Specco Bond was also added as an acrylic fortifier ( 1quart ) per bag
P-10 is a two coat system used for water proofing the hard coat.
Part 1 of the Watch and Learn with Mike Vernelson will be released as well.
