Hi guys, I sure would appreciate some input from you pros! The indoor pool building is constructed of masonry. I am applying 4" of foam that is tied back to the wall and we are going to "shape" the foam into the rough rock formations before installing the wire netting. I would like to use a one coat stucco for the base coat. This is a locally available inexpensive product that is intended for vertical applications (http://www.westernblended.com/materials/1%20Kote%20Gray%20Concentrate.pdf), it also has fibers to help with cracking. The final top coats I am considering are Tru-pac, Vertifaux or Brickform’s Vertical Mix. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Get a chain saw (electric or gas) to shape your foam  ,no s cracks please. The stucco base coat is good stuff.

That is a great idea with the chain saw. I will have to be careful where the rebar is! Have you used a stucco produt for the base coat before?

the stucco base coat is great stuff, fibers keep the mud from blowing through the lathe and there is usually some additives that make for good mud,its just usually a little more pricey . Get some of the admix advertised here for the texture coat because its the finished product that you will carve

Somebody tell me how to use Kirt Bag. Please. I mean, how much of the stuff do I mix with Portland cement?

Anyone? Thanks!
