What us under the lathe? Appears to be pipe? With lathe overtop to help in the carving cool idea man, I like this shaping up nicely . Your imagination always amazes me. Well done

hi dale ,,its foam under the scratch coat,cut it into 9 inch squares,chamfer the edges off,eml mesh,scratch coat then shape bamboo with a tool i ade myself,,,i do the same sort of process for wooden logs,,works quite well i think
