Mike another question for you. Are you going to show us mixes? Or try to sell us products?
Theres not realy much to show lol. I usually use sand/cement/ with clay and or fly ash. The above rock is carved from Vertifaux which was awesome. Carveright is awesome and I'm sure Kirt bag mix is just as awesome. All of these products were designed with specific needs in mind and are amazing products but I realy havnt used them alot because I'm kinda stuck in old habits. The only variation I may have in my mud is the type or quantity of sand. If I'm doing soft heavily eroded rock then I'll bump up the sand until its more like standard mortar. I'm not there to be a salesman. I'm their to more teach what you need to be doing with the mud, steel etc. However there are companies that have graciously donated materials to this project. Most will be brand new to me as well, but I WILL guarantee its going to be spectacular and you WILL leave inspired with a ton of knowledge and a new outlook on carving detailed rock. I will be showing you my system for determining shape and composition within the wall "which is THE most important aspect of any formation and what most struggle with without having an understanding of what to look for". Also ratios of monolithic versus heavily fractured in a formation, making good use of flat featureless areas of the wall. The do's and dont's of fractures and lines. Understanding how and why different rock types fracture and applying it into your work. Texturing methods, Proper troweling and layup, the list goes on with coloring etc. All of these things I've mentioned I have developed an exact way that I execute them in order to acheive the results I want. Guys that are coming need to be willing to have an open mind about possibly changing the habits they are used to. Nathan has been trying to get me to do this for quite a few years and I finally gave in lol. Its gonna be a great time with a great group of people!
That would be FANTASTIC!

Nathan and Mike want you to know how important this class is to me. Coming out flat work with very little experience on vertical systems. I am sure Ill learn a lot and can't wait to meet everyone on this project. Thanks again for the information....Oww Yes Kirt Bag is very good product, just finished project with it. Jeff Beavers .... These classes will be recorded and added to Mikes online curriculum. If you attend the class then you will have access to the vdo series.
If I become a subscriber does that have access to these too? Or only the class attendees?
