How did you color the fireplace arch so light?
Stone looks nice and aged in contrast. I like it.
You should take some sand paper and a hammer to the mantle though, rough it up a bit and give an antique treatment.
with customer permission of course....
I agree don, wasnt to keen on the mantle, but whatcha gonna do. I used whey on the arch and hearth. It worked great. Just sprayed it with the whey, let it sit, put another coat on and shot some boulder in the cracks and carved parts and dabbed it with a sponge. I sanded the peaks a bit and that was it. That whey color is an awesome color for a limestone kinda look.
