or you could  heat them up and beat them with a hammer make thm look forged

orrrr you could get some two part putty like for gas tank repair. and shape it into forged rivits rite over top of bolt heads. Ya I get ahead of myself to lol.

Adam, you don`t need a blacksmith forge to do something neat with bolts, just get a carriage bolt (round head, right') heat up with an O/A torch and once red flatten, straithen round edge into 4 sides as if trying to convert it into a 4 side headed bolt... they turn out old looking and beautiful, I made a sample of about 30 variations, lots of fun if you want I could take pics and show them to ya.
