Well we are back and the event was fantastic....

I was so blessed to be able to meet many of you and put a face to you. Many of you traveled from all over and I want to thank you for making it such a wonderful year.

The seminar was also very good. I received many complements from attendees and form the Hanley Wood Organization. I hope I am asked to speak there again.

2009 is going to be a great year.and many new things are developing.

I have posted 12 pictures of the small piece I worked on.....In the next several weeks I will cover the technical points in the next project video.

Who and Where I got these geodes will be posted shortly as well.

I am also looking forward to seeing your pictures and reading your experiences as well.

Special thanks to: Richard Winget for an awesome tree, Butterfield Color for allowing me to use your booth to show my craft and the use of Cantera, Specco for your great friendship and your support of Vertical Artisans, Hank Arend for your presence and positive attitude, Wayne Sellon for keeping my mind right, Neal for your support and interest, Ed Skwarek for your help and support - by the way I hope Kyle got that box in time:) , And so many more I'm having a hard time remembering but all and all so very thankful for.

Lets keep building our futures and leading the way in this industry Lord willing,

Best Regards,
Nathan Giffin

I can't add much to what Nathan said...the WOC 09, was a great cast of very talented folks. I'm glad I had an opportunity to meet some of the talented people!!!! There were many ideas I got from the show.

I've been attending the WOC shows for the last 4 years. It is very neat to see the talent pool growing.

My congrats to Nathan and the great influence his style has had at this show, many people showed a great interest in Nathans display just in the short time I was talking with him. Also Cindee Lundin had a beautiful carved wall and stamped overlay with some dynamite coloring. It was well worth the 12hr. drive. Hank Arend
Hi all..havn't attended a WOC yet..but hoping to next year. I'm still in the experimental stages..but I believe i have the talent to make a good living in this venue. If anyone took pictures of the WOC..it would be great to share them..I get alot of encouragement from pics and videos..hope to see some soon!

Nathan,

It was great meeting you and seeing your work. This was my first WOC and I was able to learn from many willing artist. Exploring the various vendors and new materials was a great experience and has given me new ideas. I'm itching to see some of you new lessons.
