My first real sample board! Critizism welcomed!

So I have been watching lots of videos and started playing around a week ago. I did one flat piece that turned out nice but wanted to produce a sample with return corners to provide the stone depth illusion. Let me know what you think and don't hold back if you see something I can improve on. I will also post pictures after the whole thing is colored. The size is 4' wide and 32" tall with 12" returns.

Well, I think it is pretty darn good! I like the smooth corners in the second pic. I usually end up with sharper edges and have to work out the unwanted ridge I end up with.
You have lots of variety in the texture. I wanna see it after you color it!

Speaking of color, i recently purchased two spray guns - one detail gun and one airbrush. Both served really well to add color especially when I wanted to get a black color deep in the crevaces. The air brushes range in price but I bought the cheapest ones.

I'm going to put this sample in my booth at the home show here in Wichita, KS. It runs Feb 4th-7th. What have others done for a good way to display samples at your local shows?

Here are the pics of the sample after I put color on it. The pics are crappy quality (took them with my phone) but I will swap them out with better ones later.

Thanks Ed! I looked at your pics too and I really like those steps. What kind of mix are you using there? Looks really dark in the pics??

Thanks Nathan... I could not have done it without watching hours of your videos. Unfortunately I hear your voice sometimes at night while I'm sleeping and that's just scary! I'm gonna take a pool trowel with me to bed at night so I can hit you with it if you sneak up on me! Just kidding but I do dream of expansive areas of vertical almost every night. Freaks me out

The home show was really good this past weekend. I have a number of people who I'm sure will be signing contracts for stone faced walls in the very near future.

Great job Erik, how did you end up displaying it at the home show

Thanks Rebecca... I built a top piece for it as well and displayed it in my booth as the center piece. I got alot of good attention from it and we put a couple of jobs in the books as well. I'm booked out till around the end of April now so I'll update the with pictures as the jobs get completed.

Remove more Material in the corners to get that older look. Stones shouldn't mirror each other.
