Thanks Mark. To be as honest as possible, the hearth stone is real sandstone. Nevertheless, most people cannot tell the real stuff from the carved stuff, even when they are right next to each other. I was very worried that the two would clash, but it worked out rather well.

i love this!! very cool place!! the old timbers an old raw look and of course a whole wall of vertical!!! heck i would live there!!

Thanks for the very nice compliment. The wall of rock is not wood, it's poured concrete. I don't think a stud wall could support that much stone. This building's construction was reviewed by a professional engineer. I would caution anyone placing concrete higher than 10 feet.
