Nathan...are you flying out Friday AM, or late afternoon.  I'm trying to work something out, but its looking like Thursday could be a travel day, so I'm wondering how much of Friday you foresee being active.

Ok Guys...

Arrived at 8:20am in Nashville and went straight over to Rocket Town.

There was already a floor class going on but we managed to find every thing that we needed to prep the area.

The room that we have is actually a "Green Room" or a staging area for bands to wait and relax before they go on stage.  This facility is rather large and the concert area holds about 1500 people.  There is also a indoor skate park and skate shop along with concessions,

I want to give a special shout out to Dan Beal his help has been wonderful, he drove through the in night from Madison WI in a Vibe.... and managed to only spend $4.97 in Gas.  Small car increadable gas mileage :)

This is going to be a good week.  Tomorrow we will sculpt the hardest aspects of the project.  The circle and the guitar.

This first photo is of the room before we got to it.

These next several photos are of the clean wall and a prepared wall with bonding agent and plastic.

The materials I was supposed to use have been delayed for one day, but we absolutely had to scratch coat the wall today so we went to Home Depot and purchased some bonding agent and some mortar mix to scratch coat the area.

After we put the bonder on the wall we read on the bottle that it generally takes 2 - 3 hours to dry.   Well we couldn't have that.

There was one concern that I had and that is this was a tilt up concrete wall and the joints had a rubber filler.  If the wall panels move at all we will have a very large vertical crack.   I doubt it will ahppen but we do not have time to frame up a separate wall.

I will post more pictures day by day.  I will also be filming other aspects of the show and of this complete project.   you don't want to miss it.

I'm getting excited just reading about it.  I wish I was there:(  I can't wait to see the finished project.  I know it's going to be awesome Nathan.  Dan made a good decision to drive from Madison, WI to work along side you.  I guarentee it will be worth way more that the $4.97 he spent in gas and the hours he spent driving:)

All right,

Another day down...with great progress...we really did do some great detailing today.

It started out with our material being delivered to the wrong address..LOL ... OH well but we still stared mixing at 9:00 am.... BY 9:45 all the mix for the Celtic weave was up.

After we took a good lunch and Brianand I SPANKED Mark and Dan in fooz-ball (10 to 9) we mixed up one more bag for the Guitar.

Here is some snap shots of the results....OH by the way the GoPro Helmut cam is awesome... I filmed each step and previewed the footage and can not wait until you see it.
