As an artists/artisan of vertcal hand carved concrete, artificial rock and themed enviroments, I would like to introduce my work and myself. I have been in this awesome arena of artistic expression since 1998 and have taught the craft since 2003. I currently hold classes on artificial rock sculpting, design and construction and on vertical hand carving as well, which are all hands-on courses. I have just introduced my new company under the name of Native Cast. I am also the creator and administrator of The Concrete Artists Network. Please e-mail me, send a comment or visit me at the Concrete Artists Network if you have any questions. You can view my profile and photos of my work there.

My new website, Native Cast, has just gone online and our products will be available shortly. Please visit us and see what we will soon be offering to you all!

I appreciate whatever you can do. I added AVG anti-virus/spyware, and thought maybe it was doing something, but I couldn't see any blocks. I'm not very smart with this stuff though. My e-mail that it said I was sent something to is setinstonedesign@hotmail.com. Some really cool stuff has been posted, and I hope I can get to it soon.

Jeff, I don't know what's up, but all of a sudden I can't sign in to the concrete artist's network. It says "oops, there's a problem", and when I go to reset the password, it says it has sent me an e-mail, but I never recieve one. I've tried several times for about a week now. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. If the time comes to take your colors to market, let me know, you'd have a quick sale. A guy can never have too many colors or textures. I agree with you about those greens being a bit tough. We could all use a pool like the one you created. I'd love to ponder my next project while sitting in that environment, with my beverage of choice...

I love that beach-entry job. Not many people get those highlights into their coloring work. Your details couldn't be better. Do you mind my asking what color system you use?

thanks for the compliment. We have had our fair share of fireplaces lately and have been pretty lucky. We will be starting shortly along with Nathan's assistance and first, herringbone brick pattern about 27' high, groin vaulted ceiling. We will film this one for the site

Hey Jeff, looks like youve had sdome fun interior jobs! Theres just never enough of those! great work! I normally use regular portland cement, playsand, and some bonder. Nothing special, I did try Nathan's Verti-faux mix on the water feature which was very nice to work with!

Thanks Jeff, so do you. I do not know if I will be able to make it. I have never been to it. I would really like to go. It depends on work and scheduling. I even have places to stay down there with old paramedic classmates. I hope I can.

Webinar Success!

After attending several of these online webinars it has got me thinking. Vertical concrete in it's self has definately come a long way in the ten or so years that I have been involved. Even though we are just getting our feet wet with thes "live discussions" I can see a definate trend towards learning, teaching and just getting the public to better understand what we as concrete artists do. I would encourage everyone on this network to, at the very least, sign in and listen. I think once we all… Continue
