One thing I really found to be valuable from working on the job with Nathan was the "behind the scenes" stuff. The substraights and the frameworks, the guts of the project. It was also nice to see the pace of a typical jobsite. This will help me manage my time effectively in the future.

I am completely new to this craft. The first I heard about it was two weeks ago. I spent a week watching Nathan's videos and went to the job site yesterday. I had an AMAZING time. Nathan is so nice and informative. I am just an avid DIY'er and Nathan still took the time to explain in detail all the answers to my questions. I would tell anyone who is thinking about joining the site to, JOIN, and attend the Hands On Projects. Thank you to Nathan and the girls for taking the time to help and guide me on my first project. I look forward to working with you all again this coming week.

OK Guys I have another Hands On Project coming up. Stay tuned for more data. This time it is a Church Grotto ( Outdoor ) and they have givin me artistic freedom. I am submitting the design later this week and will post the final design when it is approved. Looks like later in July for a start time. This one is not as big but will be prestigious.

One nice thing about being involved on a hands on project is after it's done you can send potential clients there to see "your" work (they don't know what part you worked on!) and not lie or bend the truth! It's a real plus that I have taken advantage of and hope to land a nice project of my own soon!!
Thank you Nathan for the opportunity!!!

Ya, I am going to fly my potential clients to Chicago to look at my work!!! Haha Although I do use the pics.

Nathan, Dion shared how awesome your hands on projects are. Thom & I were talking about how cool it would be to work with you on hosting one of your classes here at BBS. Hopefully that happens soon!!! Oh and when I fly into Chicago again I will call you up and maybe we can grab some dinner or lunch together...
